Author Marion Nestle - Biography
Marion Nestle is the Paulette Goddard Professor in the New York University Department of Nutrition, Food Studies, and Public Health, where she was chair from 1998-2003. She is also NYU’s Professor of Sociology and a visiting professor of Nutritional Sciences at Cornell. Her academic works and books have focused on the scientific and socioeconomic influences on food choice, obesity, and food safety. She has written three prize-winning books: Food Politics: How the Food Industry Influences Nutrition and Health, Safe Food: The Politics of Food Safety, and What to Eat, which have earned recognition and numerous awards. She also writes a column for the San Francisco Chronicle and blogs regularly on FoodPolitics.com.
