New York, NY

April 2013

Jillian Vose embarked on a boozy career at the age of 17 and hasn’t looked back. She got her start at the Four Peaks Brewery in Tempe, Arizona, and continued on her trajectory at Elements and Jade Bar before taking her slinging skills to New York City.

In 2010, Vose attended the five-day B.A.R. program to immerse herself in the local scene. Stints at Brooklyn’s Clover Club and Maison Premiere lead to an opportunity at Death & Co in the East Village. There, she rose to head bartender, leading one of the city’s foremost mixology programs and winning her a StarChefs Rising Stars Award in 2013.

Vose joined the internationally renowned cocktail den The Dead Rabbit in 2014 and now serves as beverage director. With her leadership and expertise for crafting compelling cocktail menus, Dead Rabbit was named “World’s Best Bar” and also won “World’s Best Cocktail Menu” at the 2015 Tales of the Cocktail Spirited Awards, and also took the number one spot on San Pellegrino’s prestigious list of the “World’s 50 Best Bars” in 2016. That same year, when Dead Rabbit founders Sean Muldoon and Jack McGarry opened their second concept, Vose followed. At BlackTail, Vose is honoring the era of mixed drinks from the 1920s through the 1950s with a list of more than 50 cocktails.
