Chef Jason Neve of B&B Ristorante - Biography

Las Vegas, NV

May 2012

Born and raised in Cape Canaveral, Florida, Jason Neve grew up near the sea. But he would make his culinary mark in the desert. After graduating from the Culinary Institute of America in 2003, Neve moved to New York City and worked with Chef Didier Virot at AIX. But his stay was only brief. Neve soon linked up with Mario Batali and was part of the opening team at Del Posto. Two years later, he moved away from the ocean, heading west to the deserts of Las Vegas and working his way up the chain at B&B Ristorante.

Today, Neve is culinary director of all three of Batali’s Las Vegas restaurants: B&B, Otto Pizzeria, and Carnevino Italian Steakhouse. Under his watch, all three have flourished, and have also been paragons of seasonality and sustainability; B&B is recognized as one of the first “green” restaurants in Vegas and Neve was instrumental in helping set up the Molto Farmers Market with local farms.
