Pastry Chef Ernesto Ruiz of Grand Hyatt Santiago - Biography
Mexican-born Pastry Chef Ernesto Ruiz has spent most of his life in Spain, first getting a degree in business administration and hospitality management and later working as a pastry professor. He joined Hyatt Regency Guatemala in 1999, and two years later he moved to Argentina to take part in the Park Hyatt Mendoza’s pre-opening team as a pastry chef. Ruiz also has collaborated as a chef at ElGourmet.com for a patisserie series, and he has made contributions to Hyatt Regency properties at Villa Hermosa in Mexico and La Manga in Murcia, Spain. He is a co-owner of Tatin Restaurant in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria where he worked as an executive chef, and he currently works as pastry chef at Grand Hyatt Santiago.
