Mixologist Brooks Reitz - Biography

After nine years of experience as a restaurant bartender and manager in Louisville, Kentucky, mixologist Brooks Reitz moved to Charleston, South Carolina, where he began working at the James Beard award-wining restaurant FIG. As Reitz quickly rose to the position of General Manager, he oversaw the restaurant’s cocktail program and introduced his own “Handmade Tonic” to customers. The drink’s overwhelming success inspired Reitz to create the Jack Rudy Cocktail Company, an independent project that immediately gained a passionate following. Named one of 15 Eater Young Guns for 2013, Reitz holds his own; he deviates from standard soda guns and major soda brands to create innovative and fresh handcrafted tonics. Soon after FIG, Reitz became the General Manager of The Ordinary, a Charleston hub that reflects his passion for fresh, local ingredients and a great cocktail.
