Writer Anne McBride - Biography
Anne McBride is an accomplished food writer whose works include Les Petits Macarons: Colorful French Confections to Make at Home co-authored with Kathryn Gordon, and Culinary Careers: How to Get Your Dream Job in Food co-authored with Institute of Culinary Education President Rick Smilow. McBride also plays the role of educator. She is a culinary program and editorial director at the Culinary Institute of America, served as the director of ICE’s Center for Food Media between 2008 and 2011, and is the director of the Experimental Cuisine Collective, an interdisciplinary group that studies the cross section between food and science. Despite her accomplishments, McBride hasn’t stopped learning. She is working towards a Ph.D. in food studies at New York University where her research focuses on evolution of professional cooking.
