Adam Seger of hum Botanical Spirit - Biography

As Founder and Mixologist for Chicago-based hum Spirits Company and Consulting Sommelier/Mixologist for iPic Entertainment, Adam takes a chef's approach at the bar to the point of being dubbed ‘The Charlie Trotter of Cocktails’ by New City, a ‘Spirits Guru’ by Food & Wine and Fast Company magazines and 'Chicago's Godfather of Craft Cocktails' by Time Out.

Seger is a Certified Culinary Professional, a Wine & Spirits Judge for Beverage Testing Institute and a Court of Master Sommeliers Advanced Sommelier as well as an alumnus of world-renowned restaurants TRU, The Seelbach Hotel's Oakroom, Strasbourg’s Michelin Star Chez Julien and The French Laundry.

Adam's mixing style has garnered him an international presence from presenting his mixology master class to entities such as The Russian Cocktail Club and The International Association of Culinary Professionals to creating the cocktails for Colin Cowie's Oprah 25 party.

With Chicago as his home base, Seger is expanding his line of cocktail bitters and working on his first book ‘Drink Like You Eat: 40 Cocktails from the Garden to the Glass'.
