What is MRA?
The Massachusetts Restaurant Association (MRA) is
a statewide, non-profit trade organization representing
the interests of the food and beverage industry. Founded
in 1934, the MRA has grown to over 2,000 members statewide,
representing an estimated 5,000 establishments ranging
from major hotel and restaurant chains to small, family-owned
operations.
The MRA maintains a strong presence on Beacon Hill.
It sponsors legislation that benefits the industry and
works through its grass-roots programs to defeat potentially
damaging legislation. This effort results in huge bottom-line
savings for our entire membership through Worker's Compensation
insurance reform, Lower unemployment costs, and Liquor-law
legislation.
