Please join Action Against Hunger at our upcoming
“Celebrity Kick-Off” event on April 12th
in New York City. It’s the “kick-off”
event to launch Action Against Hunger’s national
“Restaurants Against Hunger campaign” for
2007:
We have paired a number of celebrity chefs with independent
fashion designers who’ve custom-designed chef
jackets for each chef “personality.” Both
designers and chefs will be on hand at the event on
the 12th to auction off these uniquely tailored jackets
while models take to the catwalk, well-known New York
area restaurants provide amazing food, drink, and desserts,
and live music and DJs create a great soundscape throughout
the evening.

World Food Day
Chosen to mark the founding of the UN Food and Agriculture
Organization on October 16, 1945, World Food Day allows
all sectors of society to increase awareness, understanding,
and year-round action on the critical issue of hunger.

Restaurants Against Hunger
Action Against Hunger and 29 Top Restaurants will
team up to raise money for the fight against hunger.
Each participating restaurant will dedicate up to 50%
of every bill to Action Against Hunger's international
programs to battle the hunger and malnutrition threatening
the lives of 840 million people in the world.
