Todd English helped to put Boston on the culinary map when he opened
his award winning Olives restaurant in 1989. A graduate of the Culinary
Institute of America, he has received many awards for his rustic Mediterranean
cuisine including: Restauranteur of the Year from Bon Appetit, The
James Beard Award for Rising Star Chef of the Year, and the James
Beard Award as Best Chef Northeast, Robert Mondavi Award for Culinary
Excellence.
Todd is currently the chef and owner of sixteen restaurants across
the country. His famed Olives restaurants are in Boston, DC,
Las Vegas, Aspen and New York. He has four Figs bistros in
Boston and one at the La Guardia airport. His seafood concept, KingFish
Hall, is in Boston's Faneuil Hall as is his casual concept Rustic
Kitchen. English also has Miramar located in Westport,
CT. He recently opened his sexy steakhouse concept, Bonfire,
in Boston.
His cooking show, "Cooking In with Todd English" can be
seen on Public Television stations across the country. He is the author
of three cookbooks, The Olives Table, The Figs Table,
and The Olives Dessert Table. |
