Hi! My name is Stephanie Zonis, and welcome to the April, 2002 edition of "For Chocolate Lovers Only". Each month, you’ll find recipes, tips, and recommendations on great chocolate specialties.

Chocolate Recommendation of the Month: It’s my guess that the nice folks at Webster’s Dictionary weren’t thinking about food when they defined terms like “habit-forming”, but that’s only because they weren’t confronted with Toffolos at the time. And what, you ask, is a Toffolo? Mrs. Weinstein’s Toffee produces single-bite-sized pieces of toffee, then covers them with milk, dark, or marbleized milk-dark-white chocolate. The results are shiny, pretty, definitely chocolate, and abandon-hope-all-ye-who-enter-here compelling. They are of a perfect size to pop into your mouth, and there’s something about the combination of the crunchy, sweet toffee and the thick, smooth chocolate that results in disappointingly-empty packages in record time. I adore the Original flavor, but for the more adventurous there are also Chocolate Mint or Cookies & Cream varieties.
