The StarChefs/New England Culinary Institute Scholarship Fund
StarChefs and the New England Culinary Institute (NECI) are pleased to offer a series of scholarships in conjunction with the StarChefs Rising Stars Revue™. These merit-based scholarships will be awarded to students and fledgling culinary professionals who demonstrate exceptional ability, motivation, and the potential to make a serious impact on the culinary field. Scholarship recipients may enroll in any degree program at the prestigious New England Culinary Institute in Vermont. Winners will be selected by the StarChefs Board of Advisors, and their names will be announced at each StarChefs Rising Star event held throughout 2004.

StarChefs Rising Star Full Tuition First-Year Scholarship
The StarChefs Rising Star Full Tuition First-Year Scholarship will be awarded to one candidate to attend NECI in any of their degree programs and will be renewable for the second year of study. The recipient may enroll in the March 2005 term, or, space permitting, in the June or December 2004 terms.

Rising Star Advanced Placement Scholarships
Six Rising Star Advanced Placement Scholarships will be awarded to candidates who have a minimum of three years’ experience in the culinary field. Advanced Placement Scholarship recipients will be awarded $8,000 toward tuition at NECI and will be enrolled directly in the second-year program of studies. The NECI Academic Catalog outlines details of this program, including testing requirements and information on the Advanced Placement Preparation Program.

About the New England Culinary Institute
The New England Culinary Institute was founded in 1980. The Institute, which has grown to three campuses - two in Vermont and one at H. Lavity Stoutt Community College in Tortola, British Virgin Islands - produces highly qualified chefs, managers, culinary professionals, and industry leaders.
