Biography
Executive pastry chef at Ola Miami, Joseluis Flores was born
in Mexico City in 1980. As part of his culinary arts training
he completed a five-year apprenticeship in pastry and attended
several technical schools including Edwal Notter Confectionary
School and the CANAINPA (national industry of bread in Mexico
City). He then came to the United States and got a position
at China Grill in New York City.
Since 1997 Flores has been working with Chef Douglas Rodriguez
as a Corporate Executive Pastry Chef, developing the Nuevo
Latino Pastry trend in all his restaurants - Patria, Calle
Ocho, Chicama, Pipa, Deseo, Ola New York, and Ola Miami.
