: : : : Anyone have any recommendations for Memphis, TN restaurants? I already know that you stay at the Peabody Hotel and have the list of barbeque places. I'm looking for some fine dining recommendations.
: : : Sir,
: : : There are several places in the down town area that are full of music and entertainment. There is BB King's Blues Club on Beale Street,
: : : The Blues Cafe on Beale Street, Silky O'Sullivans on Beale Street and the Hard Rock Cafe on Beale Street. Then if you want fine dining there is Landry's Sea food house downtown. There
: : : is also J. Alexander's farther away from Downtown. Alexander's is extremely fuine dining and you better have money.
: : : you also have several other resturants on the same street as Alexanders. That Logan's Road House very nice and entertaining steak resturant.
: : : You also have Bahama Breeze and Red Lobster. There is Macaroni Grill and Chiles and On the Border Mexican resturant. And finally try Joe's Crab Shack a very entertaining seafood resturant.
: : I CANNOT BELIEVE SOMEONE THINKS OF LANDRYS, J. ALEXADERS, BAHAMA BREEZE, AND THE LIKES AS THE "FINE DINING" OF MEMPHIS! GIVE ME A BREAK!
: I AGREE. BETTER PLACES DOWNTOWN INCLUDE; AUTOMATIC SLIMS, MCEWENS ON MONROE, RIALTO, DUX (IN THE PEABODY), CAFE SAMOVAR, SEIKISUI (MIDTOWN IS BETTER LOCATION). JUST TO NAME A FEW THAT ARE A BLOCK FROM THE PEABODY!
Did someone forget to mention the Rendezvous, the best bbq ribs anywhere. It may not be "Fine Dining" by everyone's standards but if you like dry ribs, don't pass this place up. Great atmosphere, and a good time. It's located right off of Union Ave. less than a block from the Peabody.
