: I moved to Arizona from a small Italian section of New Jersey to find no Ma & Pa Italian restaurants. If anyone knows of a good Italian restaurant where you can get dishes like: escarole, roasted peppers and mozzarella and do I dare say.....artichokes, please let me know. I am in a “good food” nightmare!

I'm sorry that I cannot answer your question, but since I saw your post, and am interested in Jersey, can you tell me where the Italian neighborhoods are?

And, this might be of some help, there was a feature article lately on New Yorkers that moved to Phoenix, with some of them opening Italian Restaurants....

Finally, if that doesn't help, check out this Italian link:

I don't think that you should have too much of a problem....I have heard that a lot of Sicilians moved to Arizona, as the climate in Arizona is very similiar to Sicily itself....I guess that it's just a matter of where you live (in Arizona)

Check out that link & good luck
