but one of the best places I've ever eaten is in, believe it or else, INDIANOLA, MISSISSIPPI. We stumbled
across The Bayou City Grill on Hwy 82 and had one of the best experiences ever. The food was absolutely world-class. A wonderful "Tower" appetizer, fresh seafood, unbelievable sauces, dangerous desserts, beautiful presentation... well, we were just blown away. Nothing was run-of-the-mill. We tried the local farm raised Catfish special... we were skeptical, it was super. And it certainly did not look the way we thought a restaurant in the Mississippi Delta would look, surprisingly sophisticated for... anywhere really. The walls are covered with art from an artist friend of the chef/owner. The bar is to-die-for. Even the RESTROOMS are great looking!!! Obviously we fell in love with the place. We are planning on going back there next month even tho we will have to drive 65 miles out of the way. It is the best place we've found between New Orleans and Memphis.
