The Barefoot Contessa cookbook is a dream come true for people who love having parties and hate having to spend the forty-eight hours before the party mincing and chopping. This book is full of great easy recipes that you can make and freeze over a long weekend to be pulled out when you need them, quick salads that you can throw together for a last minute lunch, and meals that you can throw in the oven, set a timer, and forget about while you're catching up with an old friend. Some of the "recipes" are really just advice about stylish ways to arrange prepared food, which makes things even easier still. I bought this cookbook on a whim, and I've been recommending it to everybody I know-- it's a fabulous resource for people who like to cook but don't want to spend too much time in the kitchen.

Does anyone know of any other books like this?
