I like to prepare a yummy meat sauce in advance with beef and veal, onions, garlic, carrots, celery (chopped finely in cuisinart) red wine, whole peeled tomatoes in a can (preferably imported from Italy, salt and a bit of sugar and basta cosi!
delicious and I can freeze it and defrost and serve with pasta and Parmesan cheese (which I always have on hand, you can freeze this too!)
I'll do a bolognese sauce cook-off any time!!
