You think that every server who comes to your table with a plastic smile is a huge people person who loves their job? Think again! Why do you think we're so friendly?? because you are giving us money...that's it! That's why i'm so 'nice'.. No one i have ever waited on would suspect me of writing like this, they love me... And i love them, or so they think :) I really like my job, it's moderately easy most of the time, i walk out with cash every night, and i also have racked up many stories about human beings that just make people laugh.

And as far as closing policies go, i have been yelled at by people who come in AFTER the posted closing time. I tell them the kitchen is closed and they reply with 'do you know how far i drove to get here? what am i supposed to do now?'

and 2 HOURS after posted closing? damn.. the longest you are legally allowed to be working after closing time is 30 minutes, 30 minutes of clean-up.. its some labor law..

And if it is extrememly dead it saves everyone money by closing early.. like i said, your $50 check doesn't pay for the wait staff, kitchen staff, busboys, electricity, heat, water.. and all that stuff to stay on the extra hour... :)
