Waitstaff that introducethemselves--yecch!Constant plate removal and intrusive inquiries.Snobby attitudes--after all this is a service industry and the main jobshould be making the patron enjoy the experience, not lording over beingtres coolThe incorrect pronunciation of ambience!!!! Once and for all, it isam-bience not ahmbeeanse. While I` at it, it` vichysoisse(say the s`, dammit) not vichysswaWould you believe, I` had caponata served hot because the restaurateurcaved to clients who wanted it that way.Eggs Benedict with overcooked poached eggsCream soups that can double as wallpaper pasteLast, but not least, the unforgivable penchant of serving French OnionSoup with that gloppy roof of stringy cheese coating from rim to rim.For crying out loud, isn` a crouton dusted lightly with parmesanenough?!?I could go on, but let me say that I love eating out and do sofrequently; mostly it` a joy and I realize the hard work involved in thebusiness. Kudos to those who get it right!
