The complaints Michele has really have nothing to do with the guest, and those of the guest have nothing to do with the waitstaff. The establishment has to maximize efficiency during the peak hours otherwise they will lose money. Pack them in, pack them out, run the joint with the least amount of staff you can, and hope you break even. This is also no fault of the establishment. The costs of running a restaurant are astronomical. Governmemt regulations, our system of distribution, and consumer demands are responsible for a lot of the expenses in running a restaurant.

The next time you wonder why that rapidly getting cold chicken breast cost so much, ask yourself why it takes 6 different trucks to have it delivered to the restaurant, and why it needs to be touched by 4 different regulatory agencies before you can even take one bite.
