About Joan Nathan

One of the best StarChefs to consult for Passover Seder recipes is Joan Nathan -- cookbook author, TV host, author and general all-around expert on the traditions and tastes connected with Jewish cuisine. Joan Nathan's cookbooks include: The Jewish Baker, The Jewish Holiday Kitchen, The Children's Jewish Holiday, An American Folklife Cookbook, The Flavor of Jerusalem and the first edition of Jewish Cooking in America. She is currently hosting "Jewish Cooking in America With Joan Nathan," a weekly television series on public television. These recipes are taken from JEWISH COOKING IN AMERICA (Alfred A. Knopf, 1998). They are a few of the many recipes in Joan's book that can be used to create an exciting American-style Seder dinner. There are also plenty of recipes in her book for vegetarians or for those of you would like to assemble an international Seder meal with courses taken from all over the world.
