Peter
Langlois is the developer and director of the Internet-based
School
Hot-Links Program "Promoting Hospitality Careers
Through Education," and co-editor with Charles Bernstein of Weekly
Restaurant Connections, a weekly newsletter summarizing key
current events and insightful editorials about the hospitality field.
Mr. Langlois began his 30-year hospitality and retail career at the
Grand Hotel Resort, Mackinac Island, Michigan, and served in a variety
of hotel, restaurant and retail management positions with companies
such as Steak and Ale, the Delta Queen Steamboat Company, and Houston-based
Foley's Department Stores.
Peter has a B.A. in Political Science from Michigan State University
and an MBA in Marketing and Business Strategies from the University
of Houston. He is a member of the National Restaurant Association,
the Texas Restaurant Association, chairperson of the education committee
of the Greater Houston Restaurant Association, and a member of the
Houston chapter of Junior Achievement. Peter teaches Career Development,
Management Supervision, Hospitality Human Resource Management, and
Hospitality Marketing at the Culinary School, Art Institute of Houston. |
