Italian Cream recipe
- 6 egg yolks
- 1 quart milk
- 4 tablespoons corn starch
- lemon peel
- 3/4 cup sugar
Mix cornstarch into a little milk, a thin paste. Beat eggs with sugar. Add cornstarch to eggs, and add rest of milk, strain and add lemon peel.
Cook in double boiler till thick, stir with wooden spoon, one way. Take Ba-Ba's slit down top and fill with cream and top with cherry. Use paper cups to serve.
375 degree oven - 40-45 minutes - cool on rack.
