Caffe
au Lait, or Caffe Latte
Most coffee
drinkers forget it's easy to make it special, and the producers of instant
flavored coffees would have you believe that there is some kind of trick
to spicing coffee. In fact, most of the coffees which we consider "special"
are daily beverages in their cultures of origin.
In addition
to this variation, you can spike any coffee with cinnamon, cardamom, cocoa
powder, vanilla, or any spice that suits your taste.
Method:
If
you have an electric espresso machine or milk steamer, steam a large quantity
of milk and mix it, half-and-half (or whatever poportion you like) with
fresh coffee. If you do not have an espresso machine, cook the milk in
a small saucepan until tiny bubbles appear on its sides.
