- 1 cup flour
- 7 oz. Sugar
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1/8 cup melted butter
- 4 oz. milk
- 1 pinch salt
Combine
all ingredients in a large bowl. Divide evenly between aluminum tins, then cover with topping.
Topping:
- 4 oz. maple syrup
- 4 oz. melted butter
Bake
at 325 degrees, until centers are firm, approximately 8-10 minutes.
Maple Sauce:
- 2 oz. heavy cream
- 2 oz. maple syrup
Apple topping:
- 1 apple
- 1 Tbsp. butter
- 1 tsp. sugar
Peel and slice apple, get a saute pan hot, add butter then apples and sugar. Saute until medium carmel color.
To finish:
Unmold spoonbread, top with maple sauce and finish with warm apples.
