Sheila Lukins's Lime-garlic Vinaigrette recipe

Sheila Lukins was one in the constellation of United Airlines chefs touted by the airline as their culinary consultants. Maybe we can look forward to this vinaigrette in seat 22E.

Lime-garlic vinaigrette - makes about 1/2 cup
  • 2 tablespoons red wine vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
  • 1 garlic glove, minced
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon finely chopped fresh basil leaves
Whisk the vinegar, lime juice, garlic and salt together in a small bowl. Slowly drizzle in the oil, whisking constantly until thickened. Stir in the basil just before using.
