CAROLYN O'NEIL
Carolyn O'Neil is Executive Producer and Senior Correspondent for CNN's Food & Health Unit. She is also the host of "On The Menu," and CNN's weekend program detailing the latest news in food, nutrition and cuisine. O'Neil, a registered dietitian, joined CNN in 1982 to develop the network's food and nutrition programming. Since its launch, "On The Menu" has won numerous awards, including two awards for journalistic excellence from the American Heart Association and two for nutrition education from the American Dietetic Association. "On The Menu" has been nominated for two CableACE Awards. In 1995, O'Neil won two James Beard Awards as the Best in TV Food Journalism. Before joining CNN, Carolyn was a consumer reporter and news anchor at WTVX-TV, the CBS news affiliate for West Palm Beach. Prior to that, she was a consumer reporter with Warner Cable Television in the Boston area.
