The 15th Annual Food & Wine Classic at Aspen

DANNY   MEYER When Danny Meyer opened New York's Union Square Cafe in 1985, he helped pioneer an exciting new breed of restaurant, pairing excellent food and wine with warm hospitality and outstanding value. In 1992, Union Square Cafe won the first James Beard Award for Excellence in Service and Hospitality. In 1994, Danny opened Gramercy Tavern with Chef Tom Colicchio. Union Square Cafe and Gramercy Tavern ranked #1 and #4 respectively in the 1997 Zagat "Top 5." He is co-author of the best-selling Union Square Cafe Cookbook. In 1996, Danny won the James Beard Humanitarian of the Year Award and the IACP Restaurateur Award of Excellence. This year will be Danny's 9th appearance at the Food & Wine Magazine Classic at Aspen.
