Daniel Johnnes is the Wine Director for the 3 star restaurant Montrachet in New York City. He also directs the wine programs for owner Drew Nieporent's other restaurants, The Tribeca Grill, Restaurant Nobu, Zeppole and Layla. Daniel was named as the nation's top sommelier by the James Beard Foundation in May 1995 when given the Outstanding Wine Service Award.
He is author of Daniel Johnnes' Top 200 Wines, An Expert's Guide to Maximum Enjoyment for your Dollar. He has appeared as a guest on CBS This Morning, NBC Today Show and the Food Network.
