EMERIL LAGASSE
Emeril makes New Orleans food more exciting than ever before. Earning a doctorate degree from Johnson and Wales University, Lagasse practiced his art in several fine restaurants in the northeast before heading south to the Big Easy. He is now the chef-proprietor of Emeril's Restaurant and Nola Restaurant in New Orleans. His new creation is Emeril's New Orleans Fish House in Las Vegas. In 1991, Emeril was named "Best Southeast Regional Chef" by the James Beard Foundation and most recently, Emeril's restaurant earned the prestigious Ivy Award. Lagasse is now a national TV personality with TVFN's production of "The Essence of Emeril." His new
book, Creole Christmas, is due out this fall.
