The new DANIEL, located in the former Mayfair Hotel on Park Avenue and 65Th Street, opened its doors in January 1999. Guests savor Chef Daniel Boulud's acclaimed French cuisine in a classic Renaissance- style dining room, banquet room, bar and lounge. A cadre of more than 40 meticulously trained cooks prepare the Chef's seasonal cuisine inspired by the market in 4000 square feet of state-of-the-art kitchens. At his new restaurant, Daniel Boulud and his staff strive to offer the elegant ambiance, gracious service, delectable foods and wines that epitomize "la grande restauration Française" in the heart of Manhattan's Upper East Side.
The 120-seat restaurant is open for lunch Monday to Saturday from noon to 2:30 PM and for dinner Monday through Saturday from 5:45 PM to 11:00 PM. DANIEL's warm and welcoming lounge and bar rooms are open from noon to midnight. Our reservations office is open from 9:00 AM to 11:00 PM Monday through Saturday and takes reservations up to 30 days in advance. Pre-theater and after-theater reservations are always welcome. The restaurant is closed on Sundays and major holidays.
Chef Daniel Boulud's menu offers French cuisine inspired by the market. You may choose from à la carte dishes, daily specials, a prix-fix lunch menu and several prix-fix dinner menus. Our desserts are highlighted by a chocolate menu and a seasonal fruit menu. The menu changes quarterly to reflect the seasons, with Daniel's most popular and trademark dishes consistently available.
